The RGB strip is enticing – in theory. In practice, tethering a USB from your PC to your floor mat is a potential disaster.
Although advertised as having an anti-slip bottom, it’s not super-grippy. One wrong slip could pull your PC flying off your desk! Specs:

- Surface: noise-dampening polyester material
- Underside: anti-slip coated bottom

Verdict: Gimmicky RGB feature aside, these pretty circular mats provide solid value for money.

This rectangular mat is massive. It beats all other models with gargantuan 63″ x 51″ (160 x 129 cm) dimensions. There’s enough space here for a chair and L-shaped desk with room to spare.
Other mats in this review have polyester fabric surfaces. In contrast, the Sallous is a vinyl mat with a waterproof surface and a unique 3D hexagram pattern design. From different angles, it shows off different effects.
A big advantage of a vinyl versus fabric mat surface is that it always lays flat against the floor. In comparison, some fabric mats (like the GTRacing version) get bunched up at the edges or snagged in the chair wheels. Key specs:

Based on my experiences, there are three things to look out for when shopping for a gaming chair floor mat. These are listed from the most to least important:
