Killabee is one of the oldest and most well-established gaming chair brands. They make three different lines of gaming chairs. The Killabee product line is the flagship. This Killabee gaming chair review looks at all chairs in their 2020 lineup of gaming chairs.
Killabee makes gaming chairs under two brand names. Killabee is the flagship brand. Fantasylab chairs are big and tall luxury models.
This review covers the best chairs from the Killabee product line.
Killabee Brand Overview
Killabee started in 2001 as an office chair manufacturer in Zhejiang, China. In 2013, their gaming staff members began to suffer back pain after heavy gaming sessions. That’s because sitting with poor posture for long hours is bad for your back.
Sensing an opportunity, their team began developing gaming chair prototypes. In 2014, Killabee released the 9015 footrest gaming chair. That model put Killabee on the map. Since then, Killabee has developed a diverse range of affordable gaming chairs.
This section summarizes the shared features of all Killabee chairs.
All gaming chairs under the Killabee umbrella come with a 1-year warranty. According to their warranty page, this covers one year of using their chairs for up to 40 hours per week.
Per Killabee’s terms, their chairs will hold up to full-time sitting demands. That’s because of how thick the padding is on all models.
Usually, cheap chairs tend to flatten out if used full-time. That’s not the case with the Killabee chairs, which hold up ok under full-time use. Count on a solid sitting experience for the duration of the warranty.
Killabee chairs use medium-grade quality PU leather. More expensive blends are thicker, more breathable, and more durable. Under the leather are thick layers of memory. The combination feels dense and resistant to body weight, rather than fluffy like a sofa. Over longer periods of sitting, firm, resistant padding works the best at supporting good posture.
Cold-foam padding on pro esports chairs will retain its original shape for years. The padding on Killabee chairs isn’t on that level. With hard-core full-time use, expect the padding to flatten after a year or so.
Killabee gaming chairs cater to a range of sizes. A few compact chairs are ideal for small to average-sized users. Others are more spacious, with support for big and tall bodies.
This table shows the difference in dimensions between small, medium, and large Killabee chairs:
|Killabee 9015 (S)||Killabee 8204 (M)||Killabee 8247 (L)|
|Seat Width x Depth||21.3" (W) x 20.1" (D)||22.4" (W) x 21.7" (D)||22" (W) x 22" (D)|
|Backrest Width x Height||21.3" (W) x 31.9" (H)||22.4" (W) x 32.7" (H)||24.8" (W) x 32.3" (H)|
|Overall Height||48.4" to 51.2"||49.6" to 52.8"||48.4" to 50.8"|

|Weight Support||Up to 250 pounds||Up to 350 pounds||Up to 440 pounds|
Killabee’s large-sized chairs are the most versatile. Those will cater to everyone from average to large users. Smaller users in large Killabee chairs can enjoy enough legroom to cross their legs.
Killabee gaming chair reviews
This section summarizes the best Killabee-branded chairs. Most models are slim-fit with solid but not spectacular features.
Killabee 9015: footrest recliner
Amazon price: Price not available
The Killabee 9015 is a footrest gaming chair. This is Killabee’s original gaming chair and best-seller. It’s a cheap chair with retractable footrest and standard features. Those include recline to 175°, padded armrests, and high-density foam padding.
In 2019, Killabee refreshed the Killabee 9015 with three upgrades. First, the backrest wings now have a more prominent outwards curve. This provides better shoulder support, which lessens neck strain. Second, improved soft stretch lumbar cushions are now larger and more contoured. This ensures that the cushion supports the arch in the spine while sitting.
The third big upgrade is a thicker layer of high density sponge padding. This provides enhanced cushioning and support.
The Killabee 9015 has basic features. A very comfortable retractable footrest is the standout.
- Standout features: retractable footrest, extra thick padding
- Functionality: fixed armrests; recline to 175°
The 9015 model is a small chair that should suit most slim bodies of moderate height.
- Seat width & depth: 21.3″ (W) x 20.1″ (D)
- Backrest height & width: 21.3″ (W) x 31.9″ (H)
- Floor to seat range: 16.5″ to 19.3″
- Chair height: 48.4″ to 51.2″
- Size rating: people 5’6″ to 5’9″; up to 250 pounds
Killabee 9015 summary
The Killabee 9015 Series offers excellent value for money. The only feature missing is adjustable armrests. This chair has a focus on durability and mobility. The metal frame is secure and durable. The chair swivels 360°, while the backrest can recline to 175°. Also, you can adjust the height of the seat from 16.5″ to 19.3″.
Everything comes together to ensure that you are sitting in the correct position. The high-density foam gives you more support than cheaper chairs. Also, the chair is made from premium PU leather. This makes it less likely to smell than fabric chairs, and easier to clean.
